Welcome to the Achilles Bridge Club Website

The Achilles Bridge Club meets every Tuesday morning in the Eastern Sports Club rooms at Okahu Bay, with ample off-street parking. Play begins at 10.30am and finishes about 1.30pm.

The Club has been established for more than 25 years, and provides the perfect environment to develop bridge skills, meet other players and extend friendships – particularly if you are new to the area. Current members come from most of the Eastern Suburbs extending from the City and Parnell to Glendowie and beyond.

Are you interested in playing [daytime] bridge but not quite ready for the cut and thrust associated with the more high-profile bridge clubs? Then Achilles could be the club for you.

You can be sure of a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere that will allow you to improve your game without the worry associated with an overly competitive atmosphere. Come along and enter our various competitions or simply come to play and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

Need a partner?

If you need a partner at any time, you can contact the Secretary to help you arrange a temporary playing partner.

Play for 2013

Play begins on Tuesday 5th February at the Club Rooms at 10.30 ( see Calendar Page for details)

The annual sunscription is $50.00 with table money of $5.00   Visitors are most welcome to play at the Club for three mornings before being obliged to pay a subscription.   For partners see Contact page.

Visitor's Day  Tuesday  May 21st

On Tuesday 21st May Achilles Members are hosting a special visitors day.  Any player interested in joining a bridge club is welcome to join us and take part in the club play on that day. 

There will be no charge for visitors, who should arrive at the Club rooms by 10.am.  Play begins at 10.30 with a short break for lunch at midday. Visitors should bring a small packed lunch, tea and coffee are provided.

The location of the rooms at The Eastern Sports Centre in Watene Crescent, Okahu Bay can be found on this website.(see Contact us) There is plenty of parking space.

 As bridge is a 'partnership' game if you do not have a partner that is not a problem. We can supply one!  Please contact one of the following numbers.
